Durkan & Sons Delivers Essential Groundworks for New Horbury Housing Development
The Project
Durkan & Sons was contracted by Mandale Homes to deliver a comprehensive groundworks and civils package for a new housing development at Cluntergate, Horbury, in 2016.
This project involved the construction of roads and the installation of a comprehensive sewer system to service the development. Our team expertly managed the challenges of working with the existing terrain, ensuring the project remained on schedule.
Our scope of works included:
- Roads and Sewers: Construction of access roads and installation of foul and surface water drainage systems.
- Deep Drainage: Implemented a sustainable drainage system to manage surface water runoff and minimize flood risk.
- Footings & Foundations: Excavation and construction of foundations for 75 new homes.
- Paving & Externals: Laying of paving slabs, kerbs, and road surfaces to create attractive and functional outdoor spaces.
- Plot Services and Drainage: Connection of individual plots to utilities (water, gas, electricity) and drainage systems.
