Overview
Durkan & Sons Ltd delivered a comprehensive groundworks and civil engineering package for a 44-home residential development at Hightown Road in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire.
The works included bulk earthworks, plot foundations, adoptable roads and sewers, surface water drainage and attenuation, asphalt surfacing, block paving and external works.
A key element of the project was the installation of a large-diameter Polypipe Ridgistorm-XL attenuation system, providing the surface water storage and controlled discharge infrastructure required for the development.

Adoptable Roads & Sewers
Durkan & Sons constructed the foul and surface water drainage infrastructure and adoptable highway works serving the development.

Surface Water Attenuation
The surface water management system incorporated a Polypipe Ridgistorm-XL large-diameter attenuation solution, including bespoke 3000mm diameter SN2 pipework.

The system provided attenuation storage and controlled discharge of surface water from the development.
Plot Foundations & Drainage
Our works extended across the individual residential plots and included foundations, plot drainage and below-ground service infrastructure.
