About the Opportunity
Durkan & Sons Ltd are seeking experienced plant operators / excavator drivers to support current and future civil engineering and groundworks projects across Yorkshire and the wider North of England.
The role involves operating excavators up to 25T on live construction sites, working as part of a managed site team and in accordance with approved drawings, lift plans, and method statements.
Scope of Works:
- Operation of tracked excavators up to 25 tonnes
- Bulk excavation, trenching, and drainage works
- Loading dumpers and wagons in a controlled manner
- Assisting with lifting operations in line with lift plans
- Working alongside groundworkers and site supervision
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating excavators up to 25 tonnes
- Valid CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS logo)
- Ability to work from drawings, lift plans, and method statements
- Strong understanding of safe digging practices and services awareness
- Good communication skills and professional site conduct
